Product Usage

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

We highly recommend that you lubricate the connecting link before assembly to ensure seamless connection at both ends of your new chain (see Fig. B). For clip-type links (FJ, RJ), ensure the open end points against the drive direction (see Fig. C). The FJ link demands SFR Cutting & Riveting Tools for pressing side plates. For rivet-type links (ZJ), employ the MOTOMAX KM500R tool for precise riveting. Maintain chain sag according to your motorcycle manual; rider load standard is 10 mm (see Fig. D).

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

1. Consult your distributor, dealer, or the SFR chain catalogue to verify compatibility with your motorcycle. Incorrect selection can lead to severe damage or injury.

2. Remove the old chain at its joint. For endless or rivet-type chains (ZJ), use the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool or an equivalent.

3. Attach your new chain by linking it to the end of the old one with a fresh connector. Rotate the rear wheel to position the new chain accurately (see Fig. A).
