Product Usage

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

For optimal performance, we strongly recommend lubricating the new connecting link prior to joining both ends of the chain (Fig. B). When using the clip type connecting link (FJ, RJ), ensure the clip's open end opposes the chain's drive direction (Fig. C). The FJ type requires the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool for precise press fitting of the outer plates. For the rivet type connecting link (ZJ), employ the MOTOMAX KM500R Cutting & Riveting Tool to expertly flare the rivet pin head according to our specified dimensions. For proper chain sag adjustment, consult your motorcycle owner's manual. Under rider load, the standard chain sag is 10 mm (Fig. D).

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

1. Ensure compatibility by consulting your distributor, local dealer, or referencing the SFR chain catalogue/application chart. Incorrect selection may lead to severe damage or injury.

2. To remove the old chain, cut at the joint. If your motorcycle uses an endless chain or rivet type connecting link (ZJ), utilize the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool or a similar instrument.

3. Attach the new chain to the old one using a fresh connecting link. By rotating the rear wheel, position the new chain accordingly (Fig. A).
