Product Usage

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

We strongly recommend pre-lubricating the new connecting link before joining the chain ends (Fig. B). For clip-type connections (FJ, RJ), ensure the clip's open end opposes the drive direction (Fig. C). The FJ link's press-fit outer plates necessitate our SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool for proper installation. For rivet-type links (ZJ), utilize the MOTOMAX KM500R tool for a precise fit and rivet. When adjusting chain sag, always refer to the motorcycle's manual. Standard sag with rider weight is 10 mm (Fig. D).

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

1. Consult your distributor or SFR catalogue to confirm compatibility of this chain and link with your motorcycle. Incorrect selection can lead to severe consequences.

2. Use an SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool to cut the old chain, essential for motorcycles with endless or rivet-type chains (ZJ).

3. Attach the new chain to the old one using a fresh connecting link, and rotate the rear wheel to position it correctly (Fig. A).
