• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

We strongly recommend pre-lubricating a new connecting link before assembly (see Fig. B). For clip-type connecting links (FJ, RJ), ensure the open end of the clip is positioned opposite to the chain drive direction (Fig. C). The FJ type requires the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool to press fit the outer plates securely. For rivet-type connecting links (ZJ), employ the MOTOMAX KM500R Cutting & Riveting Tool for precision fitting. Adjust chain sag as per your motorcycle owner's manual, typically set at 10 mm under rider load (Fig. D).

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

1. Prioritize consulting your distributor or local dealer, or refer to the SFR chain catalogue or application chart to verify compatibility of this chain and connecting link with your motorcycle, as improper selection can lead to significant damage or injury.

2. To remove the old chain, cut precisely at its joint. For motorcycles with an endless chain or a rivet-type connecting link (ZJ), use the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool or an equivalent cutting tool for precision.

3. Align the new chain with the end of the old one using a fresh connecting link. Rotate the rear wheel to seamlessly position the new chain (see Fig. A).
