Product Usage

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

We strongly recommend lubricating the new connecting link before securing both ends of the chain (Refer to Fig. B). For clip-type links (FJ, RJ), ensure the open end of the clip faces away from the drive direction (Refer to Fig. C). The FJ type link requires our SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool to affix side plates securely. For rivet type links (ZJ), employ the MOTOMAX KM500R Tool to press and achieve precise flaring of the rivet pin head. For adjusting chain sag, adhere to the guidelines in your motorcycle owner's manual. The standard sag under rider load is 10 mm (Refer to Fig. D).

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

1. Always consult your dealer or review the SFR chain catalogue/application chart to ensure compatibility with your motorcycle. Incorrect selection and usage can result in severe damage or injury.

2. Detach the old chain at its joint. For motorcycles equipped with a continuous or rivet-type chain (ZJ), utilize SFR or analogous cutting and riveting tools.

3. Attach the new chain to the old one's end using a fresh connecting link. Rotate the rear wheel to position the new chain effectively (Refer to Fig. A).
