• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

We ardently recommend lubricating a new connecting link before securing the ends of the chain (Fig. B). For clip-type links (FJ, RJ), ensure the open end is opposite the drive direction (Fig. C). The FJ link features Press Fit Outer Plates requiring our SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool. For rivet-type links (ZJ), utilize the MOTOMAX KM500R Tool to securely press and precisely rivet, guided by our flare dimension advice. For optimal chain sag, adhere to your motorcycle's manual, with a standard load sag of 10 mm (Fig. D).

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

1. Prioritize consulting your local dealer or referencing the SFR chain catalogue to ensure compatibility of our chain and links with your motorcycle. Incorrect choices can lead to significant harm or injury.

2. To remove the old chain, cut it at the joint. If your bike has an endless chain or a Rivet-type link (ZJ), employ the SFR or a similar cutting tool.

3. Attach the new chain by connecting it to the old one using a fresh link. Simply rotate the rear wheel until the new chain is correctly aligned (Fig. A).
