• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

We highly recommend lubricating the new connecting link before securing both ends of the chain. For clip type connecting links (FJ, RJ), ensure the open end of the clip faces the opposite direction of the chain drive. The FJ connecting link mandates using the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool for precise side plate pressure. For rivet type connecting links (ZJ), employ the MOTOMAX KM500R tool to accurately press fit and flare the rivet pin head to our recommended dimensions. To adjust chain sag, adhere to the motorcycle owner's manual, which specifies a standard sag of 10 mm under rider load.

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

1. Always consult your distributor or local dealer, or refer to the SFR chain catalogue or application chart to verify the compatibility of this chain and connecting link with your motorcycle. Incorrect selection or usage could result in serious damage or injury.

2. Remove the old chain at its joint. If your motorcycle uses an endless chain or a chain with a Rivet type connecting link (ZJ), utilize the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool or a suitable cutting tool for proper removal.

3. Attach the new chain to the end of the old one using a new connecting link. Rotate the rear wheel to position the new chain correctly.
