Product Usage

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

We strongly advise lubricating the new connecting link before joining the chain ends (see Fig. B). For clip-type links (FJ, RJ), ensure the clip's open end is opposite the chain drive direction (see Fig. C). The FJ type requires the precise SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool to affix the side plates properly. For rivet-type links (ZJ), use the MOTOMAX KM500R Tool for precise fitting and riveting. Adjust chain sag according to your motorcycle owner's manual, with a standard load sag of 10 mm (see Fig. D).

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

1. Ensure compatibility by consulting your distributor, local dealer, or referring to the SFR chain catalogue or application chart. Incorrect selection or usage could lead to serious damage or injury.

2. To remove the old chain, cut it at the joint. If equipped with an endless chain or a rivet-type link (ZJ), use the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool or a similar tool.

3. Attach the new chain to the old one's end using a new connecting link. Rotate the rear wheel to position the new chain (see Fig. A).
