• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

At Hangzhou Sfr Technology Co., Ltd., we take great pride in ensuring your motorcycle runs smoothly and safely. We highly recommend lubricating the new connecting link before joining the ends of the new chain (refer to Fig. B). For Clip type connecting links (FJ, RJ), make sure the open end of the clip is positioned opposite to the chain drive direction (see Fig. C). The FJ connecting link features Press Fit Outer Plates, requiring the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool for proper plate pressing. For Rivet type connecting links (ZJ), utilize the MOTOMAX KM500R Cutting & Riveting Tool to press-fit the plates and accurately rivet the pin head according to our specified flare dimensions. When adjusting chain sag, adhere to the motorcycle owner's manual. The standard chain sag with the rider's load is 10 mm (see Fig. D).

 

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

1. Always consult your distributor or local dealer, or refer to the comprehensive SFR chain catalog or application chart to confirm that this chain and connecting link are suitable for your motorcycle. Improper selection and use can lead to severe damage or injury.

2. Cut the old chain at its joint part using precision tools. For motorcycles with an endless chain or a Rivet type connecting link (ZJ), use the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool or a similar cutting tool for efficiency.

3. Attach the new chain to the end of the old one with a new connecting link. Rotate the rear wheel to correctly position the new chain (refer to Fig. A).
