Product Usage

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

For a seamless installation experience: We highly recommend lubricating a new connecting link before uniting both chain ends (see Fig. B). For Clip type connecting links (FJ, RJ), ensure the clip's open end faces opposite the drive direction (see Fig. C). The FJ link requires Press Fit Outer Plates to be secured using the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool. For Rivet type links (ZJ), employ the MOTOMAX KM500R Tool for precise pressing and riveting as per our flare specifications. Maintain optimal chain sag following your motorcycle manual, where standard sag with the rider's load is 10 mm (see Fig. D).

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

1. Always consult your distributor, local dealer, or reference the SFR chain catalogue to verify compatibility with your motorcycle. Incorrect selection or usage may lead to significant damage or injury.

2. Remove the old chain at its joint. For motorcycles with endless chains or those using Rivet type links (ZJ), utilize the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool or a similar device.

3. Attach the new chain to the old one with a new connecting link. Rotate the rear wheel to position the new chain (see Fig. A).
