• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

For optimal performance, we strongly advise lubricating the new connecting link before joining both ends of your new chain (refer to Fig. B). When using Clip-type connecting links (FJ, RJ), ensure the clip's open end is oriented away from the chain's drive direction (refer to Fig. C). The FJ-type link comes with Press Fit Outer Plates, necessitating the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool for side plate attachment. For Rivet-type links (ZJ), utilize the MOTOMAX KM500R Cutting & Riveting Tool to precisely press fit the link plates and accurately flare the pin head as per our guidelines. To adjust chain sag, consult the motorcycle owner's manual. The standard chain sag with rider load is 10 mm (see Fig. D).

• SELECTION & INSTALLATION

1. Always ensure this chain and connecting link align with your motorcycle's specifications by consulting your distributor, local dealer, or the SFR chain catalogue/application chart. Incorrect selection and usage can result in severe damage or injury.

2. Remove the old chain at its joint. For motorcycles with an endless chain or a chain featuring a Rivet-type link (ZJ), employ the SFR Cutting & Riveting Tool or an equivalent cutting tool.

3. Affix the new chain to the end of the old one using a fresh connecting link. Rotate the rear wheel to correctly position the new chain (see Fig. A).
